Santa Catarina Distillery wins two gold and one silver medal in the oldest beverage competition in the United States

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is one of the most prestigious and respected spirits competitions in the world. It is also one of the most traditional: it is the oldest spirit competition in the United States, dating back to 1980, and the second oldest in the world. Proof of its successful trajectory was the 2021 edition, which broke the record for entries: there were more than 3,500, divided into various categories such as vodkas, gin, cachaças, whiskeys, among others.
The Kalvelage, national distillery, has just been awarded three times in the edition of 2021. In the category Vodka, the
Kalvelage Vibe received the gold medal. In the Gin category, the gold also shone, but this time with the Kalvelage London Dry Gin . To close the podium, Kalvelage OAK vodka received a silver medal in the flavored vodka category.
With this, the distillery has 20 medals in international competitions in its trajectory, a great achievement for a brand that was born in 2012. In addition, it was the first time that Kalvelage received two gold medals in the same competition, winning a new one personal record for the brand.
For the brothers Marcos and Mauricio Kalvelage, these new awards reinforce even more the quality so desired in their spirits, in addition to strengthening the quality of Brazilian products. “ We were very proud of our result in this edition.
