The MIDITEC, strategic program of the Santa Catarina Association of Technology (ACATE) in partnership with SEBRAE / SC, is receiving applications for the Incubation Day Startups 2022. Entrepreneurs interested in accelerating the development of its business, through a methodology multipremiada , a wide and experienced network of mentors and connection with the market, investors and partners, have until January 21 to apply. Founded 23 years ago, the MIDITEC incubator is one of the most awarded in Brazil. It was twice recognized by UBI Global as one of the five best in the world and four times as the best in the country.

Currently, the initiative has a more innovative, comprehensive and complete journey, supporting startups from the initial stages (validation and demand generation) to more advanced stages (traction and scale), throughout the state of Santa Catarina. MIDITEC has already developed more than 100 startups, among them some that have become cases of the ecosystem, such as Pixeon, RD Station, Knewin, Asksuite and Arvus. In 2020, in addition to Florianópolis, the MIDITEC incubation methodology has expanded and is operating in Joinville, Brusque, Blumenau, Lages and Chapecó.

The Incubation Program can last from 12 to 36 months, depending on the maturity of the business. There are two modalities available: non-resident incubation (startup does not occupy a room, but has access to all services and benefits) and resident incubation (occupies space at the ACATE Sapiens Innovation Center, in Florianópolis).

Program benefits

With the support of experienced mentors and consultants, MIDITEC will work on the skills of incubated companies, as well as skills for business development, operationalization strategies, economic and financial viability, monetization models, market size, scalability potential and organizational culture. In addition, companies will have access to exclusive training and networking events, undergo a diagnosis and Health Score and will be able to participate in ACATE’s other Strategic Programs, such as the Business Verticals, for example.

The initiative consists of two phases that separate startups according to their maturity level. Startlab includes the first two stages of the program: validation and demand generation. Growthlab encompasses the last two: sales traction and scale.

who can apply

Technology-based startups that have already started the validation process can apply. Startups, therefore, must already have a business operationalization strategy and a monetization model. It is not necessary to have paying customers, but it is important to have a plan on how you intend to monetize with the proposed solution. It is also necessary to have a CNPJ in Santa Catarina and a team dedicated to the startup, in addition to having a competitive solution with a degree of innovation and that presents economic, financial and scalable viability.
