Input distribution sector discusses fiscal and accounting strategies in agribusiness

ROIT holds a meeting with GOPLAN’s Board of Directors and Franchisees to discuss tax and accounting strategies in the segment

Discuss ideas to strengthen the agricultural input distribution sector. This was the objective of a meeting that brought together agribusiness professionals from all over Brazil in Curitiba (PR).

The AGRO GOPLAN & ROIT immersion brought together the largest franchisor in the agricultural input distribution sector in the country, GOPLAN, and the team of technology and accounting and tax management professionals at ROIT, a company that develops technological solutions for tax, accounting and finance for medium and large companies.

Among the topics discussed was the use of technology solutions to help the segment face the bureaucratic and meandering legislation, as is already customary in Brazil.

We brought a range of content specifically aimed at GOPLAN franchisees, covering topics such as investment subsidy, technological trends for tax management in agriculture, how to control cash flow in an optimized way and the importance of strategic planning to maximize the profits of the involved in GOPLAN”, says Caroline Souza, COO of ROIT.

The option of having a face-to-face and non-virtual meeting was highlighted, according to the COO, as the possibility of debating and uniting ideas in a collective event was much more effective. As the franchisor operates in several different locations in Brazil, the meeting was, in addition to the content, an opportunity to bring businesses together and exchange experiences with those present.

With 21 franchisees and more than 800 employees covering approximately 60 million hectares and in more than 70 units in the Southeast, Midwest, North and Northeast regions, GOPLAN emerged from the union of a group of entrepreneurs in search of an innovative business model , with an offer of essential products for agribusiness and a complete portfolio of products and services for soybean, corn, sorghum, beans, coffee, sugarcane, peanuts, pastures, citrus and HF, in addition to the production of soybean seeds in the Midwest.

Our business model includes the offer of nutrition, seeds and biological products, among others, and assistance in the construction of barter operations, administrative and financial services. All based on good business practices, ethics, respect for employees and the environment”, says Marcos Rodrigues Chaves, partner-owner of Apoio Agrícola and statutory operational director of GOPLAN.

According to Chaves, one of the highlights of the meeting was to discuss how the vision of a consolidated cash flow for the entire group allows improving the management of the franchisor and franchisees. Also, how do banks see the group, especially investment funds that are interested in business within the scope of GOPLAN.

This happened synchronously, as ROIT has been helping franchisees since the beginning of the project, through tax planning, cash improvement through tax recovery, guidance to accountants and even through a deep analysis of the structuring of the equity holding, cites Chaves. “Lucas Ribeiro, CEO of ROIT, positioned himself as an external advisor for GOPLAN”, celebrates the director.
