In a meeting organized by the mayors Topázio Neto, from Florianópolis, and by Orvino Coelho, from São José, on Monday (10/10), the candidate for the government of the state of Santa Catarina by the PL, Jorginho Mello, heard messages of support for second round contest. The adhesion comes at an important time for Jorginho, as it brings together leaders from parties such as the MDB, PSD, Podemos, União Brasil and PSB.

Representatives from the municipalities of Alfredo Wagner, Florianópolis, São José, São Pedro de Alcântara, Paulo Lopes, Governador Celso Ramos were present. Águas Mornas, Leoberto Leal, Tijucas, Nova Trento, Rancho Queimado, Anitápolis, Biguaçu, São Bonifácio, Garopaba and Antônio Carlos.

During the meeting, Jorginho heard the position of the mayors who were not with the PL in the first round and who will now support him. “I understand the situation of each of you. Supporting side A or side B is normal. Nobody here will do politics with the liver, I have always done politics responsibly,” he said.

Jorginho also confirmed the commitment to maintain the 1000 Plan, in order not to jeopardize the progress of structuring works authorized by the current government. “I understand the situation of the prefectures of our state. Resources are tight and everyone has put the interests of municipalities ahead of politics and there is nothing wrong with that. But what I want to say to you is that we will be together. I, if elected governor, will be open to make our state grow”, he said.
