Military Police of Santa Catarina is the best evaluated in the country with 74% approval

Santa Catarina is the state where the Military Police has the highest approval among the population, with 74% of favorable mentions. Following, appear Ceará (71%) and Mato Grosso do Sul (67%). The numbers were revealed this Thursday, the 27th, by a survey by Genial/Quaest, which showed the evaluation of Brazilians regarding the services provided by the Military Police. “The result shows what we already knew, that our security forces are prepared, dedicated, differentiated, with this special recognition to the work of the Military Police, deservedly recognized by the population. And we’re working to make it even better, now with police in every school. It is a union of efforts that gives results in practice”, evaluates Governor Jorginho Mello.
The General Commander of the Military Police of Santa Catarina, Colonel Aurélio Pelozato da Rosa, congratulated all Santa Catarina military police officers, who defend citizens even at the risk of their own lives. “We received with great joy and satisfaction the result of the survey pointing to PMSC as the best corporation evaluated in the ranking of all the states of the Federation, with 74% approval. This demonstrates the quality and responsibility of the service provided by our police officers. I am very proud of our corporation”, he added.

In the first months of 2023, the government inaugurated police stations and military bases, such as the new reference post in Chapecó, the new barracks in Alfredo Wagner, the new operational base in São José, the new headquarters of the Regional Police Station in Araranguá and the inauguration of the first State Animal Protection Division, in Greater Florianópolis.
In the same period, the government delivered more than 200 vehicles to the Civil, Military and Scientific Police and the Military Fire Brigade, as a way of strengthening and equipping the security forces as a whole.
According to the Civil Police, Santa Catarina had 22% fewer robberies, 12% fewer thefts and vehicle thefts and 60% fewer robberies. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations seized more than 22 million in organized crime assets and there was an increase of up to 376% in drug seizures.
