Another winter of enchanting landscapes full of ice! Whoever thought that the days of the cold were numbered, they were wrong!

The winter cold came back with everything showing negative temperatures in the Serra Catarinense, covering the landscape in white with frost.

In Vale do Caminho da Neve, 3 km from the center of São Joaquim, the cold was more intense. The temperature dropped to a minimum of -4.6 ºC, according to INMET (National Institute of Meteorology). The cold left the landscape “dazzling and worthy of the winter appearance of the Serra Catarinense”, comments the blog sjonline .

The 17th frost of the month of August and the 95th of the year 2023, accumulated 59 days marking negative temperatures in the region of Topo da Serra de Santa Catarina. The cold in 2022 occurred in 89 days with negative temperatures and 143 days with frost.
