Monarchical movements popped up in Brazil after 2018 with the opening of groups in several states and cities.
The sudden increase in monarchists brought a problem: the lack of knowledge of the younger majority who are unaware of the history of the Brazilian monarchist movement and confuse it with a “religious counter-revolution”.
Study, the main basis for being a good monarchist!
What is Monarchy?
How many among young royalists know what this form of government is? Do you know how many monarchies there are in the world today? Of these, how many are Catholic? What is the oldest monarchy? How many types of monarchy are there? Can there be elective monarchy? And the President in one country, can be King in another?
Putin, Kim Jong-un, Xi Jinping, Lula, etc are monarchs who remain in power without having heredity as a legitimacy factor, as did Fidel Castro and so many other communist or Nazi dictators.
Monarchy, as a form of government, is above these questions. Personally, the monarchist may follow a religious, political or social orientation, without his position interfering in the development of his monarchical commitment.
How does our Emperor de jure think?
The Pró Monarquia, spokesperson for the Imperial House of Brazil , on its Facebook profile , defines it as follows: “In the Monarchy, the head of state cannot be linked to a political party or sectarian groups, as they represent a portion of society and the Monarch is of the whole nation”.
He categorically states: “The Emperor is essentially non-partisan and must give equal conditions to all political groups, which is why it is up to him to head the State with the prerogative of Moderating Power, only interfering in the nation’s internal politics when necessary, in periods of crisis or stalemate. For this, and many other reasons, Monarchy is the way “Forward!”
