More expensive gasoline: price rises 2.77% at the pumps

The liter of ethanol reduced by 0.95% in the South region

According to the most recent data from the Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL) analysis, which monitors price behavior in transactions carried out at gas stations, providing a precise average, in the first half of September, the average price per liter of gasoline reached R$5.93 in the South Region, representing an increase of 2.77% compared to August.

According to data published by Ticket Logo, regular diesel increased by 12.08%, reaching R$ 5.94, while S-10 type diesel increased by 11.81%, being sold at R$ 6, 06. Notably, these averages are the lowest in the country. As for ethanol, there was a reduction of 0.95% compared to August, with the average price reaching R$4.16.

“Among the highlights nationwide, the state of Rio Grande do Sul recorded the lowest average price for S-10 diesel across the country. Ethanol became more accessible in all states in the Southern region, although both types of diesel registered increases. In Paraná, ethanol was considered economically more advantageous compared to gasoline. However, it is important to highlight that ethanol is a more environmentally friendly alternative, as it has the potential to significantly reduce gas emissions related to climate change”, observes Douglas Pina, General Director of Mobility at Edenred Brasil.
