FlixBus , a technology company focused on road transport, continues to expand and announces the start of sales for a new route in the southern region of the country passing through Alfredo Wagner. Currently, our city is only served by Reunidas .
Starting today, May 15th, tickets can be purchased via the website, app and WhatsApp.
FlixBus is a German company that provides low-cost intercity bus services in Europe, North America, South America, Asia and India. It is owned by Flix SE, which also operates the FlixTrain, FlixCar, Kâmil Koç and Greyhound lines.
The new line connects Santa Rosa (RS) to Itajaí (SC), with boarding starting on May 22 and stops in 10 cities, reinforcing the integration between the interior of Rio Grande do Sul and the coast of Santa Catarina.
The operation will be carried out by Mingoti , a new partner of FlixBus, and will pass through destinations with strong tourist appeal and economic relevance, such as Florianópolis, Balneário Camboriú, Passo Fundo and Lages.
The itinerary, in addition to Alfredo Wagner, also includes the municipalities of Santo Ângelo, Ijuí, Cruz Alta, Carazinho, Itapema and Itajaí itself, close to the Beto Carrero World park, one of the largest in Latin America.
According to Edson Lopes , CEO of FlixBus, the new line reinforces the company’s strategy of expanding the range of destinations in the South of the country.
“Since we arrived in Brazil in 2021, we have sought to include routes that really make sense for those traveling, whether for leisure or out of necessity, always with the convenience that our technology provides.”
The new line will feature semi-sleeper buses and will serve regions with a strong European cultural heritage, marked by Germanic and Italian traditions.
“For the passenger, it is more than a trip: it is the opportunity to explore the cultural and natural diversity of the South with comfort, safety and on-board technology.”
With the partnership with Mingoti and the launch of this new route, FlixBus expands the network of destinations sold and reinforces its commitment to increasingly connected, modern and efficient road transport.
“We want to integrate smaller cities with large urban centers with a standardized and digital experience. We continue working to transform interstate mobility in Brazil,” he concludes.
